Rock Open Knowledge Week: cultural heritage like oxygen in times of crisis

Over the past three years, the ten ROCK cities – including Bologna, have been developing innovative solutions that prove how cultural heritage can be the driving force behind urban sustainability and wellbeing.

At the ROCK Open Knowledge Week, taking place online from 27 to 30 October, the many different subjects of the project will share their results and experience, lessons learned, and best practices of the last three years.

A virtual journey where local government representatives, policy makers, researchers will discuss about new ways to have culture play an important role in the regeneration, sustainable development and economic wellbeing of cities. Participants will have the chance to engage in chat rooms, answer polls, raise questions and concerns in a dedicated Q&A space, leave one’s own ideas on a brainstorming whiteboard, and much more.

The Open Knowledge Week will replace the ROCK conference, which was originally scheduled to take place on 14-15 May in Bologna but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Participation is open for everyone and free of charge, but it’ necessary to register on the dedicated page.
