The project, coordinated by the Municipality of Bologna, aims at developing a number of demonstrating actions to be seen as a showcase for other European cities and as a model for the promotion of sustainable urban mobility.
We expect a reduction of air and sound pollution, as well as a gradual setting of a different attitude towards the use of the public transport instead of private cars-
Such a new attitude will be favoured both my means of incentives (e.g., lower costs for P&R exchange parkings) and of deterrents (higher cost for access to the city centre by commercial vehicles if equipped with polluting motors).
