The project, coordinated by ANUSCA (Italian Association of Registrars), intends to set up a pilot system designed to ensure the safe and certified exchange of Civil Act certificates (birth, death, marriage, etc.) between public administrations within the EU Member countries. This system implies an improvement in the public administrations’ abilities to use new technologies, aiming at a higher efficiency in terms of eGovernment and services to citizens. The expected results range from a faster and more efficient transmission of Civil Act certificates between EU Member States (2-3 days instead of 2-3 months), to a better guarantee of authenticity of the certificates transmitted, up to a drop in the margin of error in documents’ transmission (from 10% to 0,1%).
