belle sorprese del '97. Prodotto fresco, maturo e ricco di pregevoli spunti
solistici. Riccardo "Rico" Migliarini (hmc, vc) e Maurizio Pugno (cht)
dimostrano una piena padronanza stilistica infilando, in 11 originali e
4 cover, shuffle, jump, memphis-style, chicago ed altro ancora. Ciò
che stupisce, aldilà del suono compatto, è la voglia di sorprendere

Unexpectedly pure Chicago
Blues from the South of Italy (Messina). Michele Lotta (hmc) and Nino Fazio
(vc, gtr) successfully cover the masters of the Chicago style. Four originals
and six covers from Muddy Waters, E. Boyd, W. Dixon. The digital recording

Blues Band "Live" 1996 RBR 002
The father of the italian
blues harp at his best. Reminiscent of the great P. Butterfield, Fabio
Treves (vc, hmc) has a "blooze", raw tone, one of the best heard in Italy.
He digs a lot of material on this CD (from Blind McTell to the Ford Blues
Band). An hour-plus well-spent. Alessandro Gariazzo (vc, guitar) spotlights

Blues Men "Intrepido Blues" 1995 Musicando 021
Ex Mannish Blues Band,
the Roberto Formignani (acoustic guitar and vc) and Antonio D'Adamo (hmc)
team delivers an excellent pachtwork of their skills. Chicago blues, jump
blues, country western and a beautiful version of "Summertime" are on the
playlist. Dig the melodic slide work of Formignani and the meaningfull
harmonica lines of D'Adamo. Great rhythm playing by Bruno Corticelli on

Nice surprise from italian
blues veteran Maurizio Bestetti (vocal and slide guitar). In this long-awaited
release, Maurizio and his cohorts (bassist Gigi Bonomelli and drummer Riccardo
Orsi) deliver a collection of sensible and fine songs. Eight songs are
self-penned while the remaining seven pay sincere tribute to Muddy Waters,
W. Dixon, Robert Johnson and Leroy Carr. These latter song are rendered
in a Bestetti-style, i.e. a relaxed and dreamy atmosphere, which make them

Well-known acoustic guitar
player from Imola, Ivano Cardelli aka Ghibli releases his first demo CD.
He pays tribute to the great Robert Johnson as well as to modern slide
masters, Taj Mahall and Ry Cooder. Alone with his dobro and acoustic guitar,
Ivan succeeds in recreating the magic atmosphere of the Mississippi Delta.

Inedited international
blues duo (USA - Italy). Early Chicago Blues, Down Home Blues and Ballads
in a very traditional style. Farrell demonstrates that he knows as to play
acoustic guitar while providing a steady rhythmic backing. Pandolfi reveals
mature and complete harmonica playing. One of Pandolfi best thing is the
taste and measured energy with which he takes a solo. Dig them and you
