Urban Agenda for the EU: work-in-progress of the partnership led by Bologna

After the signing of the Pact of Amsterdam, back in June 2016, setting out the objectives of the EU Urban Agenda, last year the 12 partnerships related to the 12 priority themes were started.
One of these partnerships, i.e. "Sustainable land use and nature-based solutions", has been assigned to the joint coordination of Poland and the City of Bologna.
Strarting from July 2017, the City of Bologna, with the cooperation of the University and the Foundation for Urban Innovation, and the Polish Ministry of Economic Development have been working together  with the European commission and a restricted group of cities and member states, to develop an adequate action plan.
After releasing a first Orientation Paper, in September 2017, a number of meetings have been carried out to define a set of actions and the related final products, with the result of drafting, in May 2018, an Action area summary e Action area guidelines.
Finally, last July, the definite Action Plan has been released, thus starting up the coordination for the implementation of the actions. Since then, the Action Plan has been under publication through the various channels, including a public survey, and will be published until the end of October 2018.
During the month of November, the Action Plan will be evaluated by the DGUM (Directors General Meeting On Urban Matters), then the implementation of the actions will follow, from December 2018 to March 2020.
