Mayor Merola meets the Netherlands’ Ambassador

In occasion of his visit to Bologna for the opening of the exhibition “Girl With A Pearl Earring. The myth of the Golden Age. From Vermeer to Rembrandt - Masterpieces from the Mauritshuis”, last Friday, 8th February, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Italy, Y.E. Michiel den Hond, was received by Mayor Merola in the City Hall for an official welcome greeting.
During the meeting, the Mayor of Bologna and the Ambassador had the chance to talk about the fruitful relations existing between Bologna and Dutch cities like Utrecht, Eindhoven, The Hague, as well as about national and European economic policies, focusing on the importance of promoting new initiatives in favour of growth and employment.
The meeting was also attended by Professor Fabio Roversi-Monaco, President of the Museum of the City of Bologna-Genus Bononiae, the institution that have been organising and promoting the prestigious exhibition hosted in Palazzo Fava.
