The Celebrazioni Theatre, owned by the Casa Lyda Borelli Institution for artists and show operators, is managed by the Celebrazioni srl Company, which depends on the Officine Smeraldo srl Holding. The the Smeraldo and Ciak theatres in Milan are part of this Holding, which also collaborates in organizing the programs of the Sistina Theatre in Rome, the Palabrescia Theatre in Brescia, the Sociale Theatre in Como, and the municipal Theatre in Varese.
With its almost 1000 seats, the Celebrazioni Theatre is one of the most capacious theatres in Bologna. There are three main fields of interest: major international events; contemporary dramaturgy (often coinciding with comedy); and musicals. The audience prevalently consists of young people and people coming from all the region: the theatre, in fact, has exclusive rights for some of the shows.
