Migration is a phenomenon closely linked both to global development and human rights. In order to raise more awareness of these interrelated themes among institutions, NGOs and citizens, the AMITIE project - Awareness on MIgration, developmenT and human rIghts through local partnerships - has been created. AMITIE is a project funded by the European Union involving a number of countries in particular Italy, Latvia, Romania, Spain and Brazil: research activities, training for professionals and focus groups with migrants' communities will lead to a transnational communication campaign and to an international festival.
